Winners were announced last week at the company's viaVerio Partner Summit in Las Vegas, an event the company it held to address the needs of its resellers in person.<br />Along with the news from events came notice from several Web hosting providers of notable acquisitions. On Monday Web hosting provider Globat announced that it had acquired virtually all the assets of Web hosting provider CompleteHostingSolutions. The deal is part of Globat's aggressive growth strategy, through which the company actively seeks out hosting companies to acquire, bringing new customers and talent on board.<br />On Wednesday, Web.com announced that its own shareholders, and those of website building tools provider Website Pros had approved the adoption of a merger agreement. The companies, which together have annual revenues of more than $117 million, and more than 234,000 paid subscribers, first announced that they would merge in July.<br />Along with the news of events and acquisitions, this week saw the reporting of survey results by Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting. The company said its survey reveals that environmental responsibility is a growing concern among hosting customers.
